About me

My name is Rogier Meijer, a System Administrator from the Netherlands and in my spare time, I research and develop open source applications.

Around three years ago, I launched an open source project called Public iPerf3 Serverlist on GitHub. This initiative originated from a personal need and the lack of reliable resources for finding public iPerf3 servers to test network performance across various geographic regions.

Project Goals

Provide and maintain a reliable, monitored list of public iPerf3 servers.
Complement the variety of speed testing tools available online.
Ensure the list remains freely (MIT license) accessible—now and in the future.
Only include servers hosted by data centers, ISPs, telecom providers, or governments.
(No residential connections, firewalls, routers, private servers, or NAS devices.)
